Huron County is operating under Orange status. We continue to follow Public Health guidelines and those of the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario and the Ontario Dental Association.
While many things have changed in this challenging time, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your health and safety. Our office has always maintained strict infection control standards and in order to keep us all protected during this pandemic and in the future, we have updated our protocols. When we see you at your next appointment, things will be a little different.
•You will be asked to wait outside the office or in your car and we will call you when you arrive. This is to minimize the time you are in the office. If you don’t have a cel one of us will come out to car to get you.
•We will ask some screening questions before your appointment and then again when you arrive. I would encourage you to answer these questions honestly. The screening questions are asked to keep ourselves, our families and our other patients safe.
•If you have an upcoming appointment and develop symptoms of COVID, or have to travel out of the country or to a hot spot within Canada, please advise the office ahead of time so we can determine whether rescheduling makes sense.
•We will ask that you wear a mask or face covering (scarf, bandana) when you enter the clinic.
•We have hand sanitizer that we will ask you to use when you enter and exit the clinic.
•We have eliminated our waiting room and, generally speaking we will admit you to the clinic when we are able to bring you directly into the operatory to avoid having patients use the waiting room at all.
•Appointments will be timed to allow for physical distancing between patients. This might mean less flexibility for scheduling your appointment, but it will also reduce the number of patients in the clinic at one time.
•We ask that you enter the clinic alone. Exceptions will be made for children that need parents present or for translators or caregivers.
-We ask that you touch as little as possible, We will open doors for you and are planning to make the experience as touchless as possible
If you have already booked a hygiene appointment in the future, it is likely that this appointment will need to be juggled. Please be patient and we’ll contact you to sort that out. If you have any questions, please let us know.
